Our program

The ILA Company Secretarial and Governance Officer Committee would like to invite Directors and Company Secretaries to its new Breakfast Briefing Session, to be held on 13 December 2018, to hear Mrs. Hélène Langinier, Associate Professor at EM Strasbourg, University of Strasbourg, speak about a hot topic and its practical impact for key players of good corporate governance.

Board diversity appears as a key advantage to enhance firms’ innovation capacities. However this diversity has to be managed to avoid some possible misunderstandings. Decoding cultural differences through practical tools will give the opportunity to company secretaries to support the development of a positive dynamic within cultural diverse boards.

Indeed, this timely Breakfast Briefing will be of interest notably for Directors and Corporate Secretarial Officers of all kind of companies and organizations, with the opportunity to share thoughts or questions with the speaker.

In a nutshell, the ILA Company Secretarial and Governance Officer Committee aims to foster the development of the Luxembourg corporate governance framework, by assisting professionals involved in Board support roles in order for them to better support and manage Boards as well as some key stakeholders of a company.

ILA Company Secretarial and Governance Officer Committee also focuses on supporting the role of Company Secretaries in Luxembourg, by developing high professional standards and best practices, dedicated training programs and networking opportunities.

This presentation and the Q&A session will be conducted in English.
