Managing board cultural diversity for company secretaries
Catherine Beaujour is currently Managing Director at Meda Pharma Luxembourg, an affiliate of Mylan, a Nasdaq-listed pharmaceutical company, since six years, she is also a member of several boards.
Catherine is familiar with Corporate Governance matters and related issues since more than 20 years now, she is chairing the ILA Company Secretarial and Governance Officer Committee.
Catherine has a legal and business background. She has started her career as an International Business Lawyer, practising in major law firms, like Kmpg or Landwell, on a wide range of transactions and for multicultural clients.
Thereafter, she has evolved in-house as Group General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Company Secretary, in regulated and unregulated sectors.
In a recent past, Catherine has been a Lecturer in Business Schools (E.S.C) with a strong concern to raise awareness of future managers on corporate social responsibilities’ issues and company’s governance best practices.
She is also a member of the Governance and Ethics Commission of the Cercle Montesquieu.
Catherine has made several publications notably for Dalian France, Wolters Kluwers Group, with respect to corporate and tax matters.
Last but not least, her opinion was sought as a Consultant for French Television Group, where she could notably advocate necessary economic reforms in some overseas areas.
Hélène Langinier is an Associate Professor at EM Strasbourg – University of Strasbourg, France. She started her career in human resources in an international audit and advisory firm in Luxembourg and Berlin where she recruited and managed international mobility. Today, Hélène is member of the Research Lab Humanis. She teaches and conducts research in the field of intercultural management, linguistic diversity and expatriates’ adjustment.
She also manages personal and professional development for international students.
Hélène published in the journals Human Resources Management Review, Thunderbird International Business Review and Equality Diversity Inclusion: an International Journal.
